Mobile Flight Application
The objective of this project was to develop a flight information display on a mobile device. This application allows passengers to access real-time flight updates and information. The focus of this design was to create a clear and concise interface that would be organized thoughtfully. This would allow users to navigate with confidence and independence.
Research
The research began with exploring existing airline applications and interfaces to identify key components and features. To manage the process effectively, initial sketches focused on individual elements before addressing the entire interface. These sketches provided a clear visual direction and served as a foundation for developing and iterating on digital designs. The iterative process of sketching and refining helped ensure that my design was organized, functional, and user-friendly.

Digital Iterations
Initial Concept Design System
Through several digital iterations, various elements were explored, such as time and location displays, typefaces, and color choices. This was essential for creating a purposeful and effective design direction. The color palette that was used in my initial design system was inspired by a split complementary color harmony, this included navy, red, orange, and white. The colors were vibrant and provided a strong contrast between the elements.

Modified Concept
Modified Design System
After completing the initial mockup, the design was refined to make it more efficient for the user, with a focus on improving the visual hierarchy to ensure important information was easily accessible and organized. The modified design system continued to use a split complementary color harmony, adding varying hues of sky blue while removing white from the palette. In the drop-down, emphasis was placed on the flight time rather than the destination, and the airline for each flight was also included. By adjusting the color palette, typography, and drop-down, I was able to prioritize key elements and enhance the overall usability.
